Kids between 3 and 4 years old start to show an intense need to absorb
information (the why? questions!) and even have the ability to apply and reason
with it.
They love to be read simple stories and like to emulate characters whom they
like. They continue to learn through play and now from observation as well.
Invest in arts and crafts to develop their creativity.
They will also start to
learn what’s right and wrong, so start to instil the values that you want your
child to uphold.
When they are 5 to 8 years old, invest in books of poetry and
classic novels to encourage his/her interest in literature. The following type
of books will help in their mental development:
 | Word books to expand vocabulary
|
 | When they are about 3, introduce early concepts like counting, alphabet,
classification and even science in a fun and relaxing way
|
 | Play and learn books like puzzles, games, arts and crafts
|
 | Picture Books with simple stories
|
 | Poetry
|
 | Character Building Books
